Position Overview

• Specialty: Therapy/Rehabilitation
• Employment type: Travel/Contract
• Location: Onaga, Kansas
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Schedule: Day shift, 5 x 8-hour days (8:00 to 16:30), 40 hours per week
• Setting: Primarily outpatient, with some inpatient
• Campus: Travelers report to the main campus for facility orientation, then complete on-unit orientation at their assigned location

Required Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapist license in Kansas
• Physical Therapist with 1 year of experience, completed within the last year

Compliance and Onboarding

• Background: 7-year criminal check within a year of start and updated annually (covering all locations lived or worked in the past 7 years), state exclusion search (Kansas), EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start, updated at each renewal or extension
• Identity and work eligibility: Government-issued photo ID carried during work hours, E-Verify proof or attestation
• Health: Initial physical exam, updated annually; TB screening (negative PPD, QuantiFERON Gold, or T-SPOT within 1 year, updated annually; or two-step PPD, IGRA, or negative chest X-ray within 12 months); measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella immunity (titer or 2 vaccines); hepatitis B titer, vaccine series, or facility declination; Tdap within 10 years; COVID vaccine or facility declination; 10-panel drug screen within a year of start and updated annually (a separate 9-panel screen within the last 12 months is also listed)
• Flu vaccine (2026-27 season): Required by the working deadline of 10/30. Exemptions (religious or medical) are reviewed by the facility, and approved exemptees must wear a KN95 or surgical mask during flu season. Flu season runs 9/23 to 3/31.
• Respiratory safety: Fit test with an approved N95 mask within 1 year of start, updated annually (facility provides a PAPR if the candidate cannot pass with an approved mask); respiratory safety clearance questionnaire completed before start, updated annually
• Documentation: Two clinical references (hospital evaluation also accepted), completed employment application or resume, skills checklist for the applicable unit updated annually, safety manual acknowledgement, and HIPAA training (signed HIPAA form preferred, or completion of core testing)
