RN ICU

Location: Lafayette, Colorado Contract Length: 13 weeks Schedule: Night shift, 3 x 12-hour shifts (1900-0730), 36 hours per week, 12 hours per day Weekends: 7 required in 8 weeks

Responsibilities

• Performs independent and delegated nursing functions per state Board of Nursing practice standards
• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care
• Evaluates health status through ongoing data collection and assessment
• Performs health teaching and counseling
• Provides supportive and restorative therapy and treatment, directly or through consultation, delegation, supervision, or teaching of others
• Executes delegated medical functions
• Refers patients for further evaluation or treatment
• Reviews and monitors therapy and treatment plans
• Documents per hospital and regulatory guidelines
• Uses resources as needed
• Performs other duties as assigned
• May be required to float to other departments (within scope of competency and qualifications) based on business need
• May be required to be on call during a regularly scheduled shift

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Colorado
• Minimum 1 year of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience, completed within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association, required
• ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association, required
• NIHSS certification, required
