Charge Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room (OR), Days
Location: Bad Axe, Michigan Employment Type: Temp Contract Length: 13 weeks Shift: Days, 9 hours per day Dress Code: Hospital-provided scrubs
Role Overview
- Delivers quality nursing care through the nursing process.
- Works collaboratively with the healthcare team to maintain standards for professional nursing practice.
- Carries out functions according to medical center policy, mission, and standards of practice as defined by professional and regulatory guidelines.
Unit Details
- Unit Size: 3 OR rooms and a Procedure Room
- Staffing Ratio: 1:1
- Surgical Services: Outpatient and inpatient surgeries for adults and children, with emergency surgery available 24/7. Specialties include cancer, ear, nose and throat, gastroenterology, general surgery, gynecological surgery, ophthalmological surgery, orthopedic surgery, podiatry surgery, and urological surgery.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Michigan
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- OR circulating experience, with at least 1 year of experience and experience within the last year
- General surgery experience
- Orthopedics experience
- OB/GYN experience
