CVICU
Overview
- Travel/Contract role in Jersey City, New Jersey
- 13-week assignment
- Night shift, 3x12 hours: 19:00–07:15
- 36 hours per week
- Every other weekend
- Based on the unit/department: CVICU
- Floating may include CCU, CTICU, ICU, and stepdown
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New Jersey
- CVICU experience within the last year
- 1 year of CVICU experience
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or RQI
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or RQI
- IV Certification
- NIHSS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Fresh open heart surgical patient experience
- Experience caring for CABG patients
- Experience with intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP)
- Experience with Impella
- Experience with transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR)
Clinical Details
- Patient ratios are 1:2 by regulation and may go to 1:3 based on acuity
- Fresh cardiac open heart patients are 1:1
- Charting system: Epic
- Scrubs: Royal Blue
