RN - Behavioral Health

Location: Englewood, Colorado Employment Type: Travel Contract Length: 13 weeks Hours per Week: 36 (weekend hours included) Openings: 1

Orientation

• Biweekly on Mondays
• Dates: October 5 and 19; November 2, 16, and 30; December 14 and 28

Requirements

• Valid RN license in Colorado
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Behavioral Health experience of 1+ years, with experience within the last year
• BLS certification
• HWC certification
• All travelers must have required certifications before start; the client may require additional certifications not listed
• Deescalation skills (must have)
• Candidates must be 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for travel
• Colorado Adult Protective Services (CAPS) check required for all clinical staff on assignment in Colorado. A new check is needed if more than 30 days have passed since the request or since the employee left employment.
• Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) fingerprinting required for all subcontractor staff on assignment in Colorado. Results must be provided before start.

Preferred Qualifications

• Behavioral health experience
• Medical or dual diagnosis experience
• Ability to perform CIWA and COWS assessments

Unit Information

• 96-bed hospital with 4 units of 20-26 patients each
• Acute stabilization behavioral health hospital; average length of stay is 7-10 days
• Patient population: adolescents ages 13-17, plus 3 adult units (18+)
• Patient ratios: about 1:12 on Adolescent, Adult Mental Wellness, and Adult Acute units; 1:10 on Adult Dual Diagnosis/SUD
• Float requirement: all units if necessary
