- PCU unit
- 24 beds
- Ratios: 1:3-4
Required Qualifications
- PCU experience
- ACLS
- BLS
- NIHSS
- RN license
- Ability to titrate drips
Preferred / Additional Notes
- Flexibility with schedule
- Possibility to flex to days
Shift
- 12-hour night shifts, 1800-0630
- Every other weekend
- 2 of the winter holidays
Float Scope
- Primary to St Francis Hospital
- May float throughout Region One:
- St. Anne Hospital – Burien, WA
- Virginia Mason Medical Center – Seattle, WA
- St. Francis Hospital – Federal Way, WA
Unit Operations
- 24/7 charge nurse and house supervisor
- Nurse aides: 1:10
- Remote monitor techs with RN approval
- Common titratable/set-rate drips: Amiodarone, Diltiazem, Dopamine, Nitroglycerin, Lasix, Dobutamine
- Common diagnoses/types of patients: Pneumonia, ARDS, Covid-19 infection, HTN Urgency, Angina, cardiac cath patients, ETOH Withdrawal
- RT equipment: CPAP, BIPAP, High Flow Oxygen
- Standby possible if extra staff are available
- Unit/department-specific orientation
- Free on-site parking
