PT - Therapy CATR

Location: Danville, Illinois Employment Type: Clinical-Allied Contract Length: 13 weeks Shift: Day, Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-5:30 PM Hours: 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week

Role Summary

Evaluates and treats patients of all ages, modifies plans of care as appropriate, and serves as a role model in professional service delivery and as a clinical resource for staff and students.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates and treats orthopedic and neurologic conditions, and establishes plans of care based on functional deficits and patient goals
• Performs examinations and screenings, including range of motion, strength, and daily functional task performance
• Designs plans of care that integrate goals, treatment, outcomes, and discharge planning, and adjusts care based on patient response and evidence
• Performs patient transfers with assistance as needed and demonstrates safe body mechanics
• Applies tape for stabilization, facilitation, or inhibition of movement
• Uses therapeutic modalities, including ultrasound, interferential, and iontophoresis
• Supervises support personnel, ensuring legal and ethical standards and providing regular feedback
• Educates patients, families, caregivers, students, and other providers
• Communicates with referring providers on patient progress and treatment recommendations
• Completes daily documentation and charging in the therapy EMR, following the clinical process policy
• If applicable, completes assigned annual education for hip and knee replacement program requirements

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in physical therapy
• Valid Physical Therapist license in Illinois
• At least 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapist, with relevant experience within the last year
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
