Schedule: 0630-1900 and 1830-0700
Cyclic scheduling

Required Qualifications

RN
BLS
ACLS
NIHSS
Driver’s license required at submittal
Must be outside 50 miles
Cannot be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity
Artificial nails are prohibited in patient care departments
Must pass an open-book exam during orientation with a score of 90% or higher

Unit Details

Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:4
Charge nurse takes a full patient assignment
Nurse aide/patient care tech ratio: 1:10
Common patient types: heart failure, Afib, respiratory distress, stroke
RNs are required to titrate drips
Common drips: Cardizem, amiodarone, nitro
RNs must read and interpret telemetry strips
RT equipment on unit includes CPAP
Floating: ICU, if appropriate and experienced
Orientation: 1 12-hour shift in the department

Scheduling Requirements

Every other weekend
1 major holiday and 1 minor holiday
RTO needed upfront; additional RTO will not be approved
