Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) RN

Overview

Role: Registered Nurse (RN) in Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
Location: Cedar Rapids, Iowa
Shift: Days
Contract length: 13 weeks

Unit / Assignment Details

Primary care is Cardiac Holding with float assistance to Vascular and possibly diagnostic cardiology
Unit has 19 pre/post rooms
Patient types include prep/post heart cath, Cardiac Cath, possibly EP, groin/radial site management

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Iowa
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
2 years of PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience
PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience within the last year
Experience working with Cardiac or Post Cardiac Cath patients
Cardiac Cath Lab experience
Pre/Post Cath Lab experience
Experience with Epic
Groin & radial site management
TR band management experience
Driver's License
BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
ACLS issued by American Heart Association

Preferred

At least 1 professional reference/reference check from within the last 24 months

Scheduling / Assignment Notes

Contractor is required to work 1–2 of 3 upcoming Winter holidays unless the unit is closed
No locals: candidates must be at least 50 miles from the facility based on driver’s license
1st time travelers welcomed with at least 36 months experience
Orientation dates: 11/2, 11/9, 11/16, 11/23, 11/30, 12/7
