ER RN
Overview
- Travel contract in Tacoma, Washington
- 13-week assignment
- Nights, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
- Orientation/education hours are not guaranteed during the first 2 weeks; expect 25+ hours
Required Qualifications
- Active WA RN license
- 2 full years of ER experience
- BLS
- ACLS
- TNCC
- PALS
- Must have completed at least one previous travel assignment
Job Details
- Unit: ER
- 33 beds, including 2 trauma bays
- 5 psych/seclusion rooms
- Fast track: Yes
- 125-140 patients per day
- Ratios: 3-4:1
- Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
- Holidays: Occasionally
- Scrub color: Navy Blue (top and bottom)
- Charge nurse: 24/7
- ED technicians support the unit
- Security/patient sitters: 24/7
- Lab draws: Yes
- IV team: 24/7 support for the hospital
- RT: 24/7
- Pharmacy: 0700-0300
- EMR: Epic
- Common patient types: Emergency, stroke, STEMI, Trauma, ACS
