Description
RN - Med/Surg
Location: Lafayette, Colorado Contract Length: 13 weeks Schedule: 3 x 12-hour day shifts (0700-1930), 36 hours per week, rotating weekends Float: May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications, based on business need On-Call: May be required to be placed on call during a regularly scheduled shift
Role Summary
- Performs independent and delegated nursing functions per state Board of Nursing standards.
- Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care, including health data assessment, health teaching, and health counseling.
- Provides supportive and restorative therapy and treatment directly or through consultation, delegation, supervision, or teaching of others.
- Executes delegated medical functions, refers patients for further evaluation or treatment, and reviews and monitors therapy and treatment plans.
- Documents in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines and performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Med Surg experience of 1 year, obtained within the last year
