Location: Billings, Montana Employment Type: Clinical, Non-Nursing Contract Length: 11 weeks Schedule: Day shift, 10 hours per day, 40 hours per week

Job Summary

Performs a variety of diagnostic cardiac and vascular exams under the direction of a physician to identify abnormalities that lead to patient diagnosis.

Key Responsibilities

• Performs ultrasound procedures that use high-frequency sound waves to evaluate internal organs and vessels for disease diagnosis.
• Prepares the exam room, obtains informed consent, and requests an accurate clinical history as needed.
• Reviews patient history, selects protocols, explains the procedure, positions the patient, and performs diagnostic techniques and tests and necessary interventions.
• Reviews completed tests for quality, completeness, and the type of test ordered; ensures quality images; and coordinates images, exams, and documentation for physician partners.
• Documents and communicates patient information accurately, and ensures safe handoffs between shifts.
• Monitors equipment reliability and safety, reports issues, orders and stocks supplies, cleans rooms and equipment, and transports patients as needed.
• Participates in quality initiatives, including patient satisfaction, patient care, and workflow.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Requires regular on-site attendance during scheduled business hours or shifts.

Required Qualifications

Education:

• High school diploma or GED

Certifications & Licensure (one of the following):

• RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer)
• RCS (Registered Cardiac Sonographer)

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's degree

Additional Notes

• Candidates need to be comfortable performing pediatric and neonatal echocardiograms.
