Rogue - Cath Lab RN
Overview
- Role: RN (Registered Nurse)
- Specialty/setting: Cath Lab RN
- Location: Medford, Oregon
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Shift: Nights
- Schedule: Mon-Fri, 4/10-hour shifts
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Oregon
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- BLS
- ACLS
- Cardiac Cath Lab (1 year of experience)
- Cardiac Cath Lab experience within the last year
- Special Procedures experience
Preferred / Optional
- Scrub role is optional
Unit Details
- 6 cath suites: 1 dedicated EP bi-plane, 2 Hybrid in separate OR, 2 Cath, and 1 IR
- Teams of 4, with a minimum of 1 nurse per cath lab
Procedures / Clinical Scope
- Monitor and Sedation Nurse roles
- Cath diagnostics: left and right hearts, PCIs, CTOs, Impellas/IABPs
- Structural Heart: TAVR, Watchman, Mitral Clip, PFO/ASD closures
- EP: scrub and pan only; EP studies and device implants
- IR: peripheral interventions, stroke, TIPS/DIPS, embolizations, thrombolysis, neph/biliary/drainage tubes, ports, IVC filters
Schedule / Call
- 1 weekend of call per month
- 1 to 2 nights of call per week
- Travelers may be mandated due to short staffing
Orientation
- 12 hours of non-billable orientation in the first work week
- Up to 1 week of orientation with another nurse, including call
- Initial orientation includes medical record systems and departmental/hospital workflows
Additional Notes
- Local candidates are not accepted within a 50-mile radius
- Non-Oregon licensed RNs may be eligible for a 90-day temporary license if their permanent license is not posted before the assignment start
- Hospital scrub attire required
