ICU RN

Overview

• Travel assignment in Portsmouth, New Hampshire
• Unit: ICU
• Main Campus
• 25-bed unit
• Patient ratio: 2:1
• 36 hours per week
• Schedule: 12 shifts per month, including 4 weekend shifts per month
• Floating: travelers float first, on a rotation basis

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in New Hampshire
• ICU - Intensive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
• ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
• ACLS
• BLS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Strong telemetry skills
• Experience titrating vasoactive and inotrope medications
• Chest tube experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Open Heart experience
• Temporary pacing
• Swan-Ganz Catheter experience

Unit Details

• No LNAs or PCTs
• Around-the-clock mid-levels, Trauma surgeons, and respiratory therapist support
• PT/OT available during day shift
• Equipment includes GE Monitors, Hamilton Bipaps and Hiflows, Puritan ventilator, and Hemospheres
• Documentation system: Meditech Expanse

• Intubation
• Central line and arterial line placement
• Chest tube placement
