Role

Travel PT assignment in Spruce Pine, NC.

Unit / Setting

Blue Ridge Regional Hospital Rehabilitation Services
Main campus and Burnsville Outpatient Clinic
Outpatient PT clinic across from ED
60-bed acute care and 2 outpatient clinics

Required Qualifications

Valid Physical Therapist license in North Carolina
Physical Therapist (2 years of experience)
Physical Therapist experience within the last year
BLS
Experience in an Outpatient setting
Experience in an Acute Care setting

Preferred Qualifications

Orthopedic/Sports Med/Spine/manual therapy
Vestibular/vertigo/stroke

Unit Details

19 staff members
Day shift staffing includes 3 PTs, 3 PTAs, 2 OTs, 1 COTA, and 1 SLP
Patient volume is 9-11 patients per day per FTE
Typical procedures include therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, vestibular rehab, balance training, and gait training
Equipment includes PT modalities, pool, cardiovascular equipment, Biodex balance, and a fitness center

Schedule

36 hours per week
Rotation every 5th weekend
Saturday coverage is priority patients only, about 2-3 hours
No Sunday visits

Work Environment

Team-oriented, outgoing personality preferred
Acute care attire: purple scrubs (eggplant)
Outpatient attire: business attire or polo-khakis
