Registered Nurse - PACU

Overview

• Specialty: IVU Pre/Post
• Unit: Interventional Vascular Unit (IVU), a 16-bed pre/post area with 3 procedural rooms
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Hours: 40 per week
• Shift: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday
• Schedule: No on-call or holidays required

Role Details

• Works in the pre/post area of the IVU, which performs diagnostic and interventional procedures for outpatient and inpatient patients.
• Works closely with vascular surgeons, radiologists, cardiologists, anesthesia, and neuroradiologists.
• Responsibilities include pre/post procedure care, patient assessment, patient education, medical record maintenance, moderate sedation during procedures, IV starts, procedure preparation, emergency event management, and maintaining a safe patient environment.
• Patient Ratio: 4:1, same nurse for the same patient from start to finish.
• Scrubs are provided by the unit.

Required Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certification
• BSN required
• 2+ years of experience

Additional Notes

• Experienced PACU or Endo RNs would be considered.
• The manager is open to first-time travelers.
