PT (Physical Therapist)

Location: Macomb, Illinois (western Illinois, a few hours from Chicago) Facility type: Small critical access facility Contract length: 13 weeks Urgency: Needed ASAP

Role Overview

• Seeking a PT or PTA
• Department: Physical Therapy (PT)
• Shift: Days
• Hours: 40 per week
• Schedule: 4x10-hour or 5x8-hour shifts, or a mixture of the two
• Patient scheduling: Set by the secretary based on therapist recommendations
• Patient load: Varies daily based on census and scheduled hours
• Care settings: Primarily outpatient, with some inpatient weekend rotation or coverage if outpatient volume is low
• Weekend/holiday requirements: Weekend rotation every 6 weeks; holidays as needed
• Dress code: Black scrubs or a black collared shirt with khaki pants
• Orientation: Department-specific orientation provided

Common Diagnoses

• CVA
• Orthopedic conditions (hip, knee, ankle, shoulder, back, neck)
• Vestibular disorders
• Others as applicable

Required Qualifications

• BLS (AHA) required

Essential Skills

• Strong orthopedic skills with a focus on pediatric experience is critical
• Generalist skills aligned with basic PT education are also required

Preferred Qualifications

• Pediatric experience is highly preferred
