Assignment Details

• Travel/Contract assignment in Kodiak, Alaska
• Start date: ASAP
• Shift: 3x12 Variable
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• First timers accepted
• Weekend work required
• Floating within scope to meet facility needs
• Block scheduling not accommodated
• Local candidates not accepted; permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility
• Pending license not accepted
• RTO restrictions are based upon request
• Guaranteed hours: 60 hours per 2 weeks, with the possibility of being called off for 1 twelve-hour shift per 2 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Alaska
• ED - Emergency Department (1 year of experience)
• ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation
• TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

• Acute Care Medical Center / Long Term Care Facility / Outpatient
• Level IV Trauma
• Critical Access Hospital
• 46 acute care beds
• 22 LTC beds
• Epic charting
• Parking is free

Housing

• Housing is provided during the assignment
• Typically 1-bedroom apartments
• Available for move-in no earlier than 72 hours before the contract begins and no later than 24 hours after the contract ends
• Pets are not allowed
• Housing is typically large enough for only the traveler
• Additional family members require approval
• Housing must be cleaned upon departure or additional cleaning fees may apply
