Description
RRT - Respiratory Therapy
Location: Tampa, Florida Employment Type: Travel Contract Length: 13 weeks Hours per Week: 36
Role Overview
The Respiratory Therapist provides timely diagnostic and therapeutic cardiopulmonary services to inpatients and outpatients, following medical staff-approved protocols and department policies. Responsibilities include:
- Assisting physicians with invasive and non-invasive procedures
- Delivering medicated aerosols via medical compressed gas
- Maintaining airways and managing ventilators
- Inserting arterial lines and performing intubations
- Performing pulmonary function studies, cardiac and pulmonary stress tests, and blood gases
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Florida
- Registered Respiratory Therapist certification with at least 1 year of experience, with experience completed within the last year
- ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
