Description
Rad Tech (Ultrasound Tech)
Location: Stevens Point, Wisconsin Contract Length: 13 weeks Shift: Days, Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 5 PM Hours: 10 hours per day; 24 hours per week listed; 50 hours per pay period Unit: Radiology department, 1 scanner/room
Required Qualifications
- BLS (AHA)
- RDMS and RVT (ARDMS)
- Must have the ability to adhere to a high volume of scheduled and add-on patients
Role Details
- Imaging and studies: General, OB, and minimal vascular (legs for DVT and carotids)
- Average of 10 scans/studies per day
- Equipment: Siemens ACUSON S2000
- Systems: EMR and PACS software (Cerner, Syngo Workflow, Sectra PACS)
- Schedule: The week is split between two techs, 3 days one week and 2 days the next
- No call, no weekends, no holidays, no standby
- Does not float or cover other areas
- Radiologist is not in-house
- Does not use Registered Radiology Assistants (RRAs)
- Does not start IVs
- Scrubs are not provided; any color is acceptable
Orientation
- Department-specific radiology orientation: 3-10 hour days and 2-10 hour days per pay period, 7 AM to 5 PM
