Temp - Certified Surgical Tech (CST) - OR (Days)
Location: Pittsfield, MA Employment type: Temp Specialty: Certified Surgical Tech (CST) Contract length: 13 weeks Shift: Days, 12 hours per day Unit size: 8 beds
Schedule and Assignment
- Block scheduling is not available for this need.
- Travelers may not get all holidays off. Travelers must work one holiday block if scheduled or needed:
- Christmas Eve through Christmas Day, plus the following weekend
- New Year's Eve through New Year's Day, plus the following weekend
- Travelers must take call. Do not submit travelers who will not take call.
- Shift accommodation requests will not be considered for this need.
- All scheduling requests must be made at submission. The facility will not approve requests at or after the time of offer, and requests made after an offer may lead to the offer being rescinded.
- Facility-provided scrubs are used.
- Orientation is 8 hours, non-billable.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist with 5 years of experience
- Certified Surgical Technologist experience within the last year
- CST or NBSTSA certification
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Experience working with GYN patients and gynecologic surgery
- Experience working with Vascular patients
- Experience working with Thoracic patients
- Experience working with Orthopedics patients
- Experience working with Neuro patients
- Experience working with Spine patients
- Experience working with Trauma patients
- Experience in Preceptor roles
- Experience with general surgery
Profile and Submission Requirements
- Two recent supervisory signed references, dated within the past two years of employment (non-negotiable). The agency must call and verify all references.
- Work history
- Skills checklist pertinent to the position, current to within 1 year
- Permanent address
- All RTO (time off) requests
Eligibility
- Local travelers who live within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered.
