RN - PCU
Location: Asheville, North Carolina Floor: G7 Employment Type: Travel Contract Length: 13 weeks Hours per Week: 36
Unit Overview
- Beds: 23 step down, 16 med surg
- Patient Ratios: 1:3-4 step down, 1:4-6 med surg
- Day Shift Staffing: 1 charge, 11 RN, 4 PCT
- Night Shift Staffing: 1 charge, 10 RN, 4 PCT
- Equipment: Lifts, chest tubes, cardiac drips, stable vented patients, trachs
- Floating Area(s): Other med surg and progressive care units
- Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs
- Weekends: 6 Saturday or Sunday shifts in a 6-week period
Typical Procedures
- Trach care, chest tubes, wound dressing changes
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
- 2 years of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience, including PCU experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Experience with tracheostomy care
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS
