MRI Tech (Radiology/Cardiology)

Location: Greenwood, South Carolina Employment Type: Travel/Contract Contract Length: 13 weeks Practice Setting: Hospital-based (ER, inpatient, and outpatient)

Schedule

• Shift: Day, 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Days: Friday, Saturday, Sunday
• Hours: 12 per day, 36 per week

Required Qualifications

• MRI Technologist experience of at least 1 year, with experience completed within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• BLS issued by the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or U.S. Department of Defense
• ARRT (MR)

Preferred

• GE experience
• Agfa PACS experience

Background and Identity Checks

• Government-issued photo ID, carried during all hours of service
• Social Security card or SSN verification
• E-Verify
• 7-year criminal background check, completed within a year of start and updated annually. Must cover all locations lived or worked in the past 7 years, including a sex offender registry check.
• Pending background checks may be accepted with an instant search, provided the full search is on file once completed
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks, completed within 30 days of start and updated at each renewal or extension

Health Requirements

• Physical exam: Initial exam, updated annually
• Tdap: Within the past 10 years (facility declination form available for medical or religious reasons)
• TB: Negative PPD, QuantiFERON Gold, or T-SPOT within 1 year of start, updated annually. If previously positive, a clear chest X-ray within the past year and an annual TB questionnaire are required.
• Measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines. If a titer is negative or equivocal, 2 boosters or a facility declination form is required. The first booster must be completed before start, and the second within 28 days of the first.
• Hepatitis B: Titer, vaccine series, or declination
• Drug screen: 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start (instant screens accepted). The final report must list all 10 drugs tested.
• Seasonal flu: Vaccine or approved declination. Documentation must include drug name, location, lot number, expiration date, and manufacturer. Receipts are not accepted.
• COVID: Vaccine, medical or religious exemption, or declination

Other Requirements

• Clinical references: 2 clinical references within the past year (hospital evaluation also accepted)
• Employment application: Completed application or resume
• Competencies: Competency exam required. Medication/pharmacology competency exam as applicable.
• HIPAA: Signed HIPAA form (preferred) or completion of core testing, for substitute travelers
• Onboarding: Facility modules must be completed before orientation. Module login details are sent after the traveler is fully compliant.
