RN - Emergency Dept

Location: Franklin, North Carolina
Employment type: Travel
Contract length: 13 weeks
Hours per week: 36

Unit Details

Unit: ER (Emergency Dept.), 101 beds
Patient ratios: 4:1 typically for medical patients, up to 7:1 on ED behavioral holds
Equipment: Baxter pumps, GE monitors
Scheduling: Every other weekend. Cannot commit to block scheduling; scheduling must meet department needs.
Floating: No floating outside the ED. Must be open to floating to all sections in the ED.
Patient experience expectations: AIDET, respectful behavior, patient experience with each patient, and boards updated with information and patients updated throughout the visit
Dress code: Navy scrubs
Attendance policy: Provided on day 1
Culture: Known for teamwork and welcoming personalities. The community served includes over 120 languages spoken in the zip code.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
1 year of Emergency Department (ED) experience, completed within the last year
Experience working with Level 2 Trauma patients
