PT Inpatient Rehab

Location: Plains, Montana Employment Type: Travel/Contract Contract Length: 13 weeks Start Date: ASAP

Setting and Role

• Critical Access Hospital with outpatient and inpatient services, home visits, and a swing bed program in a rural community
• The PT will evaluate, plan, and implement individualized treatment programs to help patients improve mobility, reduce pain, and regain independence
• Works collaboratively with providers and care teams across acute, outpatient, and/or long-term care settings
• Unit aims to keep most PT workload in one area (outpatient or inpatient), but PTs must be flexible and may cover other areas as needed
• Current needs include 3 outpatient PT clinics and inpatient PT coverage; staff shift and cover based on staffing
• May float to other facilities in the system, including clinics

Schedule

• Shift: Day, 4 x 8 hours, 8:00 to 16:30
• Hours: 34 to 40 hours per week depending on census or caseload; 34 hours guaranteed. The shift data lists 32 hours per week.
• Option to request 8 or 10 hour shifts
• Weekends: every 3rd weekend
• Not on call
• Open to accommodating a block schedule (might be)

Required Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapist license in Montana
• 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapist, with experience within the last year
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
