Description
Registered Nurse - Telemetry
Location: Florence, Kentucky Employment Type: Travel/Contract Contract Length: 13 weeks Start Date: 11/23 only Shift: Night, 19:00-07:30 (3x12 hours), 12 hours per day, 36 hours per week Block Scheduling: Possible but not guaranteed
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Kentucky
- Med Surg / Telemetry experience (1.5 years)
- Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
- One completed travel assignment
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) issued by American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or United States Department of Defense
- BLS issued by American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or United States Department of Defense
- NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale) certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience working with cardiac patients
- Experience with pre-cardiac cath
- Experience managing ports
- Experience with Epic
Schedule and Assignment Details
- Four weekend shifts (2 Saturdays and 2 Sundays) in a 6-week period, plus 3 Mondays and 3 Fridays.
- Only one holiday may be requested off.
- Travel partners are not allowed.
- May float between campuses, and to observation units, MS, and MS Tele units as needed.
- Supports ED boarders (patients waiting for an inpatient bed) across the system. If there are not enough boarders, the RN floats to observation units.
Workplace Policies
- Scrubs: navy blue. No agency or brand logos allowed.
- Tattoos and piercings: no nose rings or gauged earrings.
- Nails: less than 1/4" in length. Natural fingernails required for direct client care; polish is acceptable.
- Parking: free in unrestricted spaces.
- Cafeteria: not available on-site. Refrigerator and microwave are provided on-site.
