Overview

• Start date: ASAP
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Day, 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM (12 hours/day, 36 hours/week)
• Weekends: 1 weekend shift every 4 weeks
• On-call: Not required
• Float: Not required to float between units
• Locals: Accepted
• RTO restrictions: Must be noted at time of submission
• Facility: Acute care hospital, Magnet designated, 377 staffed beds
• Scrubs: Any color; L&D and OR scrubs provided
• Parking: Free

Required Qualifications

• Surgical Technologist experience: 1 year, completed within the last year
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation
• NBSTSA or NCCT certification

Pre-Start Requirements

• Background check: Completed within 90 days of start, covering the past 7 years; updated annually. Exclusion checks (EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG) are required within 30 days of start.
• Drug screen: 9-panel drug screen within 12 months of start; instant tests are accepted.
• Physical exam: Within 1 year of start, signed by an MD, NP, PA, or DO, stating the candidate is free of infectious disease and able to work with or without accommodation.
• TB screening: Negative IGRA/TSPOT, QuantiFERON, or 2 PPDs within 12 months of start, or a chest X-ray and proof of past positive TB if applicable.
• Immunizations: Tdap within 10 years (declination accepted); MMR (2 doses or positive titer); varicella (2 doses or positive titer); hepatitis B (vaccine series with positive titer or declination); flu vaccine or declination during flu season.
• Respirator clearance: Annual medical clearance for respirator use; fit test required.
• References: Minimum of 2 covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years, in a comparable specialty or setting.
• Employment application: Covering at least the last 5 years of employment.
• Work authorization: E-Verify and I-9 documents, including government-issued photo ID and Social Security card.
• Training: Facility orientation modules, including annual regulatory modules (about 3.5 hours), and a skills checklist for the applicable unit.
