Description
RN - OR (Travel)
Location: Denver, Colorado Employment type: Travel Contract length: 13 weeks Hours per week: 36 Shift: 7 AM - 5 PM
Unit Overview
- Unit: OR
- Rooms: 14 ORs in a 408-bed hospital (1 Hybrid CV OR, 1 Cysto, 12 multipurpose ORs)
- Staff: About 60 FTEs, including OR RNs, CSTs, PCTs, Anesthesia Techs, Service Line Lead RNs, Tech Service Line Coordinators, Clinical Charge RNs, Director, and VP
- Day shift: 14-16 RNs, 14-16 CSTs, 2 Clinical Charge RNs
- Night shift: 1 Clinical Charge RN, 1 OR RN, 1 CST, with call teams for Neuro, CVOR, and General
- Patient ratio: 1:1
- Equipment: Standard OR equipment, Stryker video systems
Typical Procedures
- Angioplasty, appendectomy, biopsy, and ortho/spine
- No transplant procedures
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Colorado
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- ACLS certification
- BLS certification
- 1 year of OR circulate experience, with circulating experience within the last year
- Experience in a hospital setting
On-Call Requirements
- 2 twelve-hour call shifts per month period
- 3-4 call shifts per month from 5 PM to 7 PM
