Location: Florence, South Carolina Assignment Type: Long-term assignment Contract Length: 13 weeks Shift: 06:30 - 16:30

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs using history, observation, physical examination, and diagnostic data.
• Delegate, supervise, and evaluate other team members while executing immediate directives in urgent or emergent situations.
• Provide nursing interventions consistent with the plan of care, standards of practice, and the physician's prescribed plan.
• Complete verification of the Safe Surgery checklist.
• Prep the operating room and position and prepare patients on the operating table.
• Perform circulating duties, and assume duties within or outside the sterile field as assigned.
• Serve as the communication liaison to family and members of the operating team.
• Assist with control and maintenance of supplies and equipment.
• Participate in assigned call as scheduled.
• Use computer programs for patient care documentation.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in South Carolina
• Minimum of 1 year of Operating Room (OR) experience, with OR experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Copy of valid, up-to-date driver's license or state ID

Optional Items

• Fit test: required for all travelers, with make/model completed within 1 year of start
• Influenza vaccine: required September through April; medical or religious exemptions decided case by case with a physician's statement or signed written statement from the traveler
• Annual negative PPD: if a 2-step PPD was not completed within the past year
• Annual TB questionnaire
• Positive PPD: negative chest X-ray completed within 90 days of start, uploaded with the positive test results
