Description
Temp Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Room (ER) (Nights)
Location: Port Huron, MI Employment Type: Temp Shift: Nights, 12 hours per day Contract Length: 13 weeks
Role Overview
Delivers nursing care within the assigned unit's scope of practice, following hospital policies and procedures, nursing process guidelines, standards of care, and standards of practice.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Michigan
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Emergency Department (ED) experience: 2 years, with experience within the last year
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association
Work Environment
- Unit Size: 35 treatment rooms
- Dress Code: Navy blue
- EMR System: MediTech
- Clinical Support: Clinical Nurse Specialists provide advanced nursing expertise to the nursing staff.
- Orientation and Development: A formal orientation program tailored to individual needs. Ongoing staff development includes Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), wound care, and pain management.
