MRI Tech

Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology Location: Columbus, Ohio Employment Type: Travel/Contract Contract Length: 13 weeks Schedule: Day shift, 7:30 to 19:30 (3x12 hours, 36 hours per week)

Shift and Call

• Every 3rd weekend, and holidays as assigned
• Call: 3 weekday day shifts per month and 1 weekend call every 12 weeks

Eligibility

• Permanent address must be more than 100 miles from the facility to apply

Unit Details

• Unit has 2 (two) 1.5T Siemens Aera scanners
• Scans performed: neuro, MSK, and abdominal
• Specialty exams include breast, enterography, and patients with pacemakers
• Not performed: cardiac, prostate, CSF flow studies, or MSA extremities
• MRI-safe ventilator (stored in ICU), MRI-safe IV pump, and MRI-safe monitoring equipment are available
• ICU patients are scanned regularly
• No conscious sedation performed
• Charcoal grey scrubs

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as an MRI Technologist, with MRI Technologist experience within the last year (travelers with 1.5 years may be reviewed if they have strong Level I or large hospital experience)
• Experience with Siemens imaging equipment, including Siemens scanners
• Experience with Epic
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) or NMTCB (Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board) certification
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• High school diploma or GED
• Ohio Radiographer State License

Onboarding Requirements

• Background check: 7-year check completed within 1 year before start date
• Physical exam within 2 years of start
• TB screening (2 PPDs, QuantiFERON Gold, T-SPOT, or MTB) within 6 months of start, plus TB questionnaire within 90 days of start
• Negative 9 or 10 panel urine drug screen within 90 days of start
• Measles (rubeola), mumps, rubella, and varicella immunity (titer or 2 vaccines)
• Hepatitis B titer, series, or declination
• Flu vaccine or exemption on file by 12/1
• Respirator fit test within 1 year of start, renewed annually
