Description
Cardiac Cath Lab Tech
Location: Sarasota, Florida Employment Type: Travel Contract Length: 13 weeks Hours per Week: 36
Unit Overview
- Unit: Cardiac Cath Lab
- Unit Size: 2 labs, 10 staff
- Equipment: GE
- Patient Ratio: 1:1 (on call)
- Staffing per Case: 3-person team
- Day Shift Staffing: Each lab has 1 or 2 RNs and a tech, or 2 techs (3 per case)
- Night Shift: On call only
- Skill Set Most Recruited For: Travel RNs, local CNAs, and sitters
Schedule Expectations
- Scheduled per facility policy
- Expected to work every other weekend and holidays, in rotation with hospital employees
Typical Procedures
- LHC, RHC, PCI, shockwave, PPM, Impella, IABP
Required Qualifications
- Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in Florida
- Minimum of 1 year of Cath Lab Technologist experience, with experience within the last year
- ACLS
- BLS
- Cath Lab Tech Certification
- Experience with Impella
- Experience with intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP)
- Experience with ventilators
