Description
Radiation Therapist
Location: Durango, Colorado Contract Length: 13 weeks Shift: Days, 8 hours/day, 40 hours/week (Mon-Fri, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM)
Required Qualifications
- BLS (AHA)
- ARRT (T) certification
- ARRT (R) certification
- Must have previous radiation oncology experience
- Valid driver's license (DL must be submitted)
- Must be in the state for the orientation week, even if first-day modules are remote
Role Details
- Performs all standard radiation therapy duties
- Treatments include external beam (EBRT), internal (IRT), brachytherapy, 3D-CRT, IMRT, IGRT, SRT, and VMAT
- Does not perform proton therapy, permanent implants, microwave, Gamma Knife, or TomoTherapy
- Averages 18-22 patients per day
- Software: Aria and EPIC (familiarity, not a credential)
Schedule and Orientation
- No weekend, holiday, or on-call requirements
- Orientation: variable number of unit/department shifts, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM Mon-Fri
Work Environment
- Manager/supervisor is on each shift
- No set scrub colors or dress code
Hiring Process
- Profile review with the staffing team, followed by an interview with the unit manager
- Radius: 60 miles
- The agency provides the traveler radiation badge
