RN L&D
Location: Corpus Christi, Texas Facility: CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital Employment Type: Travel Contract Length: 13 weeks Shift: Nights, 7 PM to 7 AM Work Type: Full Time Reason for Opening: Backfill replacement for a staff member
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Texas
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Labor and Delivery experience of 1 year, with experience within the last year
- AWHONN Intermediate FHM or NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM)
- Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Current NRP certification
- Current ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
Role Responsibilities
- Practice independently while providing routine and complex nursing care using the nursing process.
- Address increasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
- Administer medications and treatments according to protocol, and monitor for side effects and effectiveness.
- Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care given.
- Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers.
- Meet applicable leadership competency expectations.
