Certified Surgical Tech (CST) - Operating Room (OR) (Afternoons)

Location: Towson, MD Employment Type: Temp Contract Length: 13 weeks Shift: Afternoons, 10 hours per day Unit: Operating Room (OR)

Role Overview

Works under general supervision with surgeons, anesthesiologists, registered nurses, and other surgical personnel to provide scrub support, handling instruments, supplies, and equipment during routine surgical procedures. Provides intraoperative care to surgical patients within the OR suite.

Facility: 257-bed licensed acute and sub-acute care facility on a suburban campus in Towson. It handles more than 23,000 admissions and over 52,000 emergency room visits annually.

Start date: Must match the start date listed on the order.

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist, with recent CST experience within the last year
• Active CST, NBSTSA, or NCCT certification, held for at least 2 years
• Active BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association

Assignment Details

• Locals accepted, with no radius rule
• Non-billable orientation: 24 hours
• Cancellation policy: the facility reserves the right to cancel 3 shifts per 13 weeks
• Time off: candidates may request off the equivalent of 1 week of contracted hours, in a single 7-day block or as separate days up to the same total hours
