Location: Corbin, Kentucky Specialty: Hospital, Direct Patient Care (Nursing) Employment Type: Clinical, Nursing Unit: 3 North (med-tele) Contract Length: 12 weeks

Schedule

• 3 twelve-hour shifts per week (36 hours per week)
• Shift: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM

Required Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN)
• Valid RN license in Kentucky
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• 1 year of Med Surg / Telemetry experience, completed within the last year
• Experience with wound care

Role Summary

• Provides direct patient care on the unit, including nursing rounds, assessments, treatments, admissions, transfers, and discharges
• Develops individualized plans of care and provides patient and family education
• Assesses patient needs, prioritizes care for multiple patients, and delegates and oversees team members' patient care tasks
• Facilitates timely discharges in coordination with Case Management
• Participates in unit quality improvement activities, such as monitoring patient satisfaction, falls, pressure ulcers, CAUTIs, and documentation
