Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room (OR) (Days)

Overview

• Location: Waterloo, Iowa
• Employment type: Temp
• Shift: Days
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Orientation dates: 11/30, 12/14, 12/28
• Role: Circulating RN (scrub experience is preferred, not required)

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Iowa
• OR Circulate (2 years of experience)
• OR Circulate experience within the last year
• 3 months or more of total travel experience
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Experience working with Podiatry patients
• Experience in a hospital setting
• Driver's License
• Experience with the da Vinci surgical robot
• Experience with general surgery
• Experience with gynecology surgery
• Orthopedics experience
• Urology experience
• Plastic Surgery experience
• Experience with Epic

Work Requirements and Policies

• Radius rule: Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible.
• Past employee restriction: Past employees of the health system, whether full-time or PRN float pool, cannot work travel in another market, regardless of their current facility or any facility worked within the past 12 months. This policy does not apply to those who previously worked travel at the health system.
• Holiday requirement: Unless the unit is closed or close to closing, the contractor must work 1–2 of the 3 upcoming summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day). Winter holidays are also listed under the same requirement.
