Travel Psych LPN/LVN – Addiction Unit
Location: Bronx, NY
Assignment Length: 13 weeks
Start Date: January 7, 2026
Shift: 8-hour Days
Guaranteed Hours: 37.5 per week
Care Setting: Acute – Psychiatric/Addiction Rehab
Experience Required: 1 year

Licensure & Certifications

Active LPN/LVN license (NY)
BLS (AHA) required
De-escalation training required
Phlebotomy and EKG competency required

Unit Details

Unit: Addiction Rehab (Voluntary Unit)
Charting: Allscripts
Beds: 23-patient capacity
No strict nurse-to-patient ratios; unit is counselor-run
RNs/LPNs perform admissions, medications, assessments, and address medical needs
No IVs typically used (may start IV in emergencies)
No physical restraints used
No techs on the unit

Patient Population & Diagnoses

Adult patients (18+) undergoing rehab from alcohol, crack cocaine, PCP, and other substances
Behavioral issues result in discharge or psych transfer
MedSurg experience strongly preferred to assess detox symptoms
Psych experience helpful but not required

Additional Details

Weekend: Every other weekend
Floating: May float
