Travel Interventional Radiology RN – Executive Leadership
Bronx, NY
HumanEdge Health is seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse (IR RN) for a travel assignment at a busy acute care facility in the Bronx, New York. This role offers the opportunity to work across IR, CT, MRI, and Cath Lab environments in a high-acuity setting.

Requirements
-
Experience: Minimum 1 year of Interventional Radiology RN experience

License: Active RN license required at submission

Education: BSN not required

Certifications (Required):

BLS
-
ACLS
-
PALS (required; pediatric experience not necessary)
Open to first-time travelers
Must be proficient in IV starts
Critical care experience is a plus
Unit Overview
-
Department: Interventional Radiology
-
IR Suites: 1 IR room; Cath Lab (8th floor) used for vascular procedures
-
Staffing: 7 RNs on unit
-
Average Case Volume:
-
IR: 5–8 procedures per day
-
CT prep and IV starts for approximately 50 patients per day
Common Procedures:
Biopsies (IR, breast, thyroid, CT- and US-guided)
Complex vascular procedures including embolizations, thrombectomies (INARI, EKOS), and DVT/PE cases
Drain placements (abscesses, pleural effusions, paracentesis)
Pain management injections (spine, joints)
Line placements (PICC, ports, tunneled catheters, permcaths)
Fistula interrogations
Job Responsibilities

Patient care in all phases: pre-, intra-, and post-procedure

Assessment and documentation using Radiology Flowsheets

IV insertions and CT prep

Patient monitoring, including sedation cases

Collaboration with physicians and mid-level providers on plan of care
Scheduling & Call

Shift Times: 7:00 AM–7:30 PM and 7:00 PM start times (12-hour coverage within department)

Call Requirements: No call (weekdays, weekends, or holidays)
