Position Overview:
The Progressive Critical Care Unit (PCU) nurses care for some of the most medically delicate and surgically complex patients in the region. Typical patient populations include: respiratory failure, sepsis, closed head injuries, multi-system organ dysfunction, endocrine disorders, complex traumas, and surgical complications.

Responsibilities:

• Provide high-acuity care to medical and surgical patients in a PCU setting.

• Manage advanced hemodynamics, including pressor titration per protocol.

• Administer and monitor drips: antihypertensives, sedatives, Narcan, thrombo-embolytics.

• Manage invasive lines and devices: A-line, CVP, EVD, orthopedic traction.

• Operate and monitor HFNC, BiPAP/CPAP, and oxygen-dependent patients.

• Adhere to infection prevention and safety protocols.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of progressive critical care experience; ICU experience preferred

• Competency in medical and surgical patient care

• ACLS required

• Epic EMR experience required

• Ability to manage high-acuity patients (average load: 3 patients per shift)

Scheduling Requirements:

• Weekends: Every other weekend

• Holidays: Rotating
