Assignment Overview:
HumanEdge Health is seeking an experienced Pathologists’ Assistant for a travel assignment in Bay Shore, NY. This role offers the opportunity to examine biopsies and complex specimens while participating in fine-needle aspiration (FNA) procedures and frozen section diagnostics.

Position Details:
Shift: Days – 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. or 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Schedule: Monday–Friday

On-Call: None

Requirements:
• Active NYS Pathologists’ Assistant licensure required
• Previous experience in gross dissection of surgical specimens and frozen sections required

Preferred:
• ASCP Certification for Pathologists’ Assistants preferred

Facility Highlights:
• Typical caseload of 20–50 mixed specimens daily
• Exposure to biopsies, complex specimens, FNA procedures, and frozen section diagnostics
• Utilization of Cryostat, Grossing Station, Cerner Millennium, Voicebrook, tissue processors, and laboratory instrumentation
• Experience working with adult and complex surgical pathology specimens
