Assignment: 2026–2027 School Year
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | School Hours (No Nights, Weekends, or Holidays)

We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide dedicated 1:1 nursing care for a student in the Spanaway, Washington area during the 2026–2027 school year. This rewarding position allows you to build meaningful relationships while helping a student safely participate in the school day.
Responsibilities

Provide individualized nursing care in accordance with the student's physician orders and Individualized Healthcare Plan (IHP).

Monitor and assess the student's health status throughout the school day.

Administer medications and perform skilled nursing procedures within the Washington LPN scope of practice.

Support students with medical needs such as G-tube feedings, tracheostomy care, seizure management, diabetes care, or other specialized interventions as assigned.

Maintain accurate documentation of nursing care and student progress.

Respond appropriately to medical emergencies and changes in the student's condition.

Collaborate with the school RN, teachers, therapists, administrators, and parents to ensure a safe learning environment.

Accompany the student during classroom activities, transportation, field trips, and other school-related activities as needed.

Promote student independence while ensuring safety and adherence to the care plan.
Qualifications

Current Washington State Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing.

Current BLS/CPR certification.

Pediatric, school nursing, home health, or long-term care experience preferred.

Experience with tracheostomy, ventilator, G-tube, seizure precautions, diabetes management, or other medically complex care is a plus.

Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills.

Ability to work independently while collaborating with the school healthcare team.
