Description
We are looking for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for an immediate travel opening in Las Vegas, NV. The right SLP should have 1 year of experience; for an exceptional candidate with an appropriate background, 6 months of experience may be accepted. Read below for additional requirements.
As an SLP, you will be responsible for assisting patients with speech, voice, or swallowing impairments and evaluating and developing a plan of care for a variety of patient populations in the acute care setting.
TasksAs an SLP, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:
- Diagnose, treat, and prevent speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
- Create treatment and therapy plans to suit the individualized needs of a diverse population of patients.
- Perform screenings to detect voice or speech disorders.
- Educate patients and family members about speech disorders and causes, including disabilities and traumatic events.
- Report progress and current status to appropriate parties, which may include family members, teachers, or medical professionals.
- Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines.
Must have 6 months of experience; however, new grads are encouraged to apply. Must have BLS and ASHA-SLP National Certification with state-specific licensing.
Speech-Language Pathologists should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. SLPs must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
