Description
We're looking for Vascular Technologists for an immediate travel opening in Lynchburg, VA.
The right Vascular Tech should have 1 year of experience. Read below for more requirements.
As a Vascular Technologist, you will use ultrasound and other non-invasive diagnostic tools to evaluate blood flow, detect vascular abnormalities, and assist in diagnosing conditions related to the circulatory system. You will play a key role in supporting physicians by providing accurate vascular imaging in a variety of clinical settings.
As a Vascular Tech, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:
- Conduct vascular ultrasound exams including carotid, arterial, venous, and abdominal studies
- Use Doppler technology and ultrasound equipment to assess blood flow and identify vascular conditions
- Explain procedures to patients and ensure comfort during exams
- Identify and document normal and abnormal imaging findings for physician interpretation
- Ensure proper patient positioning and use of equipment for optimal image quality
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Calibrate and maintain ultrasound machines and related equipment
- Adhere to infection control and patient safety standards
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other care team members
- Support a clean and organized working environment
The ideal candidate must have at least one year of experience as a Vascular Technologist. Additionally, they should possess a current BLS certification and hold the RVT (preferred), RVS, or ARDMS National Certification with appropriate experience. State licensure may be required.
Vascular Technologists should have strong attention to detail, be able to stand for extended periods, and demonstrate excellent interpersonal and technical skills.
Requirements*: BLS, CCI (RCS), ARDMS (RDMS RVT), 2 Years
* Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
