We're looking for Endoscopy Technicians for an immediate travel opening in Issaquah, WA.
The right Endoscopy Technician should have 1 year of experience. Read below for more requirements.
As an Endoscopy Technician, you will assist physicians and nurses during endoscopic procedures, ensuring equipment is functioning properly, and maintaining a safe, sterile environment. Your role is vital in supporting the diagnosis and treatment of conditions involving the gastrointestinal tract and related systems.
As an Endoscopy Technician, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:
- Prepare procedure rooms, endoscopes, and instruments for use
- Assist the physician and RN during endoscopic procedures such as colonoscopies and upper endoscopies
- Handle specimens properly and transport them to the appropriate departments
- Monitor and reassure patients before, during, and after procedures
- Clean, disinfect, and sterilize endoscopic equipment according to infection control standards
- Maintain inventory of endoscopy supplies and ensure proper storage
- Inspect and test equipment for functionality before each use
- Document equipment usage and maintenance logs accurately
- Comply with all safety protocols, infection prevention, and facility policies
- Support patient flow and room turnover between procedures
The ideal candidate must have at least one year of experience as an Endoscopy Technician. Additionally, they should possess a current BLS certification and hold the CGR National Certification or CST with endoscopy experience may be considered. State licensure may be required.
Endoscopy Technicians should be able to stand for extended periods, work in fast-paced clinical environments, and follow precise sterilization protocols.
Requirements*: ASATT (Cer A T T), SGNA (CGR), 1 Year
* Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
