Job Opportunity: Travel RN - Emergency Department

Location: Morristown, New Jersey
Employment Type: Travel Nursing (Clinical - Nursing - Travel)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Perform thorough, systematic, and accurate patient assessments across all age groups (Pediatric to Geriatric).
• Deliver competent and appropriate nursing care in the Emergency Department setting.
• Demonstrate knowledge and skill in emergency equipment and procedures.
• Maintain complete and accurate documentation of nursing processes and patient progress, including patient education.
• Uphold professional practice responsibilities, including adherence to policies and procedures.
• Promote patient and family-centered care with professionalism, courtesy, and confidentiality (HIPAA compliance).
• Follow National Patient Safety Goals, including Universal Protocol and patient identification standards.
• Use safe transfer techniques and proper body mechanics for self and patients.
• Understand conditions, procedures, and equipment relevant to emergency care and individualize patient care accordingly.
• Provide patient education and assess patient understanding of procedures and instructions.
• Support timely completion and evaluation of Pre Admission Testing (PAT) orders when applicable.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 1 year in Critical Care, Cardiac, or Emergency Department nursing (higher experience requirement applied).
• Licenses/Certifications:

  • RN License (Required)
  • BLS (Required)
  • ACLS (Required)
  • PALS (Required only for pediatric ER assignments)
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred).

Physical Requirements

• As defined by Occupational Safety/OMS standards.
