Job Overview

Seeking a competent RN with Cath Lab experience to provide direct patient care in a surgical and perioperative setting. The role involves comprehensive patient assessments, clinical skills, documentation, patient education, and adherence to safety protocols. The nurse will work collaboratively within the perioperative team to prioritize and manage patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform thorough and systematic patient assessments across all age groups (Pediatric to Geriatric).
• Deliver competent clinical nursing care, including emergency procedures and use of emergency equipment.
• Maintain accurate and complete documentation of nursing processes and patient progress.
• Demonstrate professionalism and adherence to policies, identifying opportunities for clinical growth.
• Promote patient and family-centered care, maintaining confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines.
• Follow National Patient Safety Goals, including Universal Protocol and patient identification.
• Apply knowledge of surgical conditions, procedures, anesthesia types, and patient reactions.
• Provide pre-operative and postoperative patient education and assessments.
• Support timely completion and evaluation of Pre Admission Testing (PAT) orders.
• Use safe transfer techniques and proper body mechanics.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of critical care experience required.
• Licenses/Certifications:

  • RN License (required)
  • BLS (required)
  • ACLS (required)
• Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Physical Requirements

• As defined by Occupational Safety/OMS standards.
