Job Opportunity: Physical Therapist - FS
Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Job Summary
Under minimal direction, perform various therapeutic physical therapy treatments according to physician orders. Evaluate patients, develop and modify treatment plans, and participate in discharge planning. May supervise and assist students during clinical rotations depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret physician orders and evaluate patients to formulate treatment plans with long and short-term goals.
- Modify treatment plans based on patient response.
- Participate in discharge planning and instruct patients on home programs.
- Document treatment results and patient responses in medical records.
- Maintain and clean therapy equipment.
- May supervise and assist students during clinical rotations depending on clinical experience.
Requirements
Education
- Baccalaureate degree in Physical Therapy.
Licenses/Certifications
- Current license from the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision as a Physical Therapist.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association required upon hire.
Experience
- No prior experience required.
Skills and Knowledge
- Knowledge of physical therapy principles, methods, techniques, equipment, and procedures.
- Understanding of anatomy and physiology sufficient to evaluate and treat patients.
- Ability to adjust equipment to meet patient needs.
- Strong communication skills and ability to maintain effective working relationships with staff and patients.
- Basic computer knowledge.
