Job Summary
As a Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Telemetry, you will be responsible for providing safe, effective, patient- and family-centered care. You will assess, develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans while supervising licensed and non-licensed staff. The role emphasizes evidence-based practice, quality outcomes, and customer satisfaction. You will also mentor and precept staff, participate in quality and safety improvement efforts, and comply with regulatory standards.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform patient assessments and reassessments, making sound independent decisions.
- Develop, prioritize, and implement plans of care; collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Monitor and document patient responses to clinical interventions.
- Provide and evaluate education tailored to patient and family needs during stay and at discharge.
- Delegate tasks to licensed and non-licensed personnel; serve as a mentor/preceptor.
- Promote teamwork and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Participate in quality, safety, and service process improvements and implement practice changes.
- Comply with regulatory standards and participate in Practice Governance.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kentucky
- Minimum 2 years of Telemetry nursing experience, including experience within the last year
- Acute Care nursing experience
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system
