Cardiovascular Technologist I

Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Employment Type: Clinical Technician
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Summary

This entry-level position works under immediate to general supervision to develop competencies in delivering specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology services to adult and pediatric patients. The role supports medical staff in diagnosing, treating, and monitoring a range of cardiovascular conditions and diseases.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, high-quality, and efficient patient care in various settings including inpatient, outpatient, diagnostic, urgent care, and outreach clinics.
  • Prepare patients for procedures and correlate clinical history with physician orders.
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams to achieve clinical and operational goals.
  • Operate specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic equipment to perform diagnostic, interventional, and surgical procedures within scope of practice.
  • Conduct post-procedure reviews to ensure documentation and technical quality meet department protocols and accreditation standards.
  • Transfer images and data to archival systems and prepare studies for physician reporting.
  • Perform quality control, cleaning, and high-level disinfection of equipment per manufacturer and regulatory guidelines.
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development to maintain competencies.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Cardiovascular Technologist license in Oklahoma
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Cardiovascular Technologist, including experience within the last year
  • Level 1 experience
  • BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Associate’s degree or higher, or completion of a Paramedic training program

Additional Information

  • This is an entry-level role designed to build competency under supervision.
  • No prior travel experience is required.
  • Contract length is approximately 13 weeks.
